Zenless Zone Zero 3.2 Leaks: Claret, Roxy Pryce, and the New Armorer Specialty
Zenless Zone Zero 3.2 leaks tease Roscaelifer, Claret, and the powerful new Defense-scaling Armorer specialty.
The Zenless Zone Zero community has been buzzing ever since the version 3.2 beta kicked off, and for good reason. Leaks from trusted sources have started painting a pretty detailed picture of what's coming next: a brand-new region full of floating islands, two fresh S-Rank Agents, an entirely new specialty, and even a buff for an old favorite. Of course, everyone should keep in mind that this is leaked information. It comes from reliable places, but nothing is official until HoYoverse says so, and things can change dramatically before release. With that grain of salt firmly in hand, here's what players can expect from ZZZ 3.2.
A New Season, A New Region, And A New Duo
Version 3.2 continues the third season of the main story, and this time players will be exploring Roscaelifer, a brand-new region made up of floating islands. It sounds like a place designed to feel both dreamy and dangerous, which fits the game's style perfectly. Along the way, fans will meet a whole host of new characters, many of whom will eventually become playable Agents. The spotlight, though, is clearly on two of them: the enigmatic Claret and her assistant, Roxy Pryce. These two are set to carry the narrative for this patch, and their relationship seems like it will be a major hook for the season.
Claret: The First Armorer Agent
Claret is an upcoming S-Rank Electric Agent, and she's the very first character to use the brand-new Armorer Specialty. This is a big deal. Instead of scaling damage off Attack like an Attack Agent, or off HP like a Rupture Agent, Armorer Agents scale their damage off Defense. That means Claret wants to stack Defense, not Attack, which opens up a whole new way to build a team.

Her kit revolves around three main mechanics: Sharp Damage, Gash Values, and the Crimson Inscription state. All of Claret's attacks and damage are considered Sharp Damage, which scales entirely off her Defense stat. When she deals Sharp Damage to enemies, she accumulates Gash Values on them. Once enough value builds up, the enemy gets the Gash status. An enemy can hold up to three stacks of Gash, and each time Gash is inflicted, Claret gains a stack of Personal Resources that boosts her damage output.
Her critical hits work differently, too. Instead of the usual critical damage calculation, a critical hit is treated as Laceration DMG, which takes her Critical Rate into account. The more Critical Rate she has above 100%, the more likely it is that a critical hit will trigger an instance of Laceration DMG. In practice, this means a high Critical Rate lets Claret land multiple instances of critical hits, which sounds absolutely wild for a Defense-scaling damage dealer.
When Claret consumes her Sharp value on an EX Special Attack hit, she enters the Crimson Inscription state. This state massively boosts her damage output and Critical Rate, and it also unlocks special moves and attacks that are only available while the state is active. Players who enjoy a snowballing, resource-driven playstyle will probably find her very appealing.
Roxy Pryce: Wind Stun With A Tornado
Roxy Pryce is the second new S-Rank Agent, and she's a Wind Stun Specialist. Her job is to quickly raise the enemies' Daze gauge, inflict Stun, and set the team up for big damage windows. She does this by dealing explosive Wind damage and controlling the field with a summoned tornado.
Her EX Special Skill lets her summon a tornado that she can keep on the field by spending energy. The tornado sucks in enemies and continuously deals Wind damage while raising their Daze gauge. The longer it stays out, the more damage it does, but the more energy it consumes. Once enough energy has been spent, the tornado generates Wind Energy for Roxy. At the end of the EX Special Attack, when she releases the tornado, she consumes that Wind Energy to fire multiple rounds of Wind explosions at enemies. The more Wind Energy she has, the more explosions are fired. Those explosions also create small tornados that track enemies and follow them, dealing even more Wind damage.
The Armorer Specialty Explained
With Claret's release, ZZZ introduces the Armorer Specialty as a new DPS role. It sits alongside Attack and Rupture as a way to define how an Agent deals damage. Attack Agents scale off Attack, Rupture Agents scale off HP, and Armorer Agents scale off Defense. The higher the Agent's Defense, the more damage is converted into Sharp Damage. Claret is the first Armorer, but her additional ability effect strongly suggests that more Armorer Agents are coming in the near future.
Koleda Gets Some Love
It's not just new characters getting attention. The S-Rank Fire Stun Agent Koleda will receive buffs through the Potential System during this update. That's good news for longtime players who have invested in her, and it might bring her back into the meta conversation.
Signature W-Engines
Both new Agents are getting signature W-Engines, and the leaked stats look strong. Here's a quick breakdown:
| W-Engine | Sub Stat | Key Effect Highlights |
|---|---|---|
| Claret's Signature | 48% Defense | CRIT Rate +25%; Sharp strike grants [Enhance] stacks, boosting Electric DMG by 7% per stack (up to 3 stacks). At 3 stacks, Electric Sharp DMG +12%. |
| Roxy Pryce's Signature | 48% Defense | CRIT Rate +28%; ignores 12% Wind DMG RES; Daze inflicted +36%; off-field Energy Regen +2/sec; all squad members' DMG +40% (one instance per squad). |
Banner Schedule And Reruns
The 3.2 banners are split into two phases. Phase one features Claret and her signature W-Engine, along with one or two rerun S-Rank characters. The leaks suggest the reruns will likely be characters that support her playstyle, such as Trigger, Velina, or Norma. Phase two brings Roxy Pryce and her signature W-Engine, with reruns that pair well with her Stun effects, like Promeia or Cissia.
| Phase | Featured Agent | Signature W-Engine | Likely Reruns |
|---|---|---|---|
| Phase 1 | Claret (S-Rank Electric Armorer) | Yes | Trigger, Velina, or Norma |
| Phase 2 | Roxy Pryce (S-Rank Wind Stun) | Yes | Promeia or Cissia |
Final Thoughts
Version 3.2 is shaping up to be a major patch. A new region, a new specialty, two S-Rank Agents with genuinely unique kits, and a Koleda buff all point to a season that could shake up team building in a big way. Players who want to pull for Claret or Roxy should start saving now, and anyone excited about the new Armorer playstyle has plenty to look forward to. Just remember: leaks are leaks, so keep expectations flexible until the official reveal. 😊
